This is one of the great sources to keep your desktop background fresh with latest wallpaper images. You can sort the submission with New, Top and Hot. Use wallpapers on your phone, desktop background, website and more. This is a subreddit on twitter where community submits some of the best wallpapers images. If there will ever be plugins then I would treat them appropriately or better not even have them on Workshop in official capacity. Find your perfect wallpaper and download the image or photo for free. The real issue would be plugins, like Flash, but those don't exist yet. Wallpaper Engine only has native JS and a few custom functions I personally added and have complete knowledge of. The situation is not as dire as with having the Flash plugin or DOM scripting objects. Are the new Scene wallpapers with SceneScript sandboxed like a website would be? Web-based wallpapers may include advertisements (again, in theory, I am not aware of any examples where this was abused) and any other code you can find on any website but even here the large majority of web wallpapers is of high quality, especially if you stick to the most popular ones (you can sort / filter within the application).
