I don't have 100's unused icons in my projects.
There are many, many icons in there I don't even use, and still I don't go over 767. I've been planning on making my own tilesets for a loooooooooooooong time now, but the truth is, I think it is too much work, and the VX Ace set is not half bad. (XV Ace resized and recolored, mostly) There is just a few icons I added myself. Well, to be honest, my icons set is mostly a combination of several existing tilesets too. Let alone doing the work to create 8,000+ icons. I can't see many of the people that end up posting those threads having actually created a hundred individual icons, & then multiplying them up to eight hundred via recolors. Most of them probably just copy & pasted various versions of "The Giant Icon Set" or other ripped resources together.
